1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using TokForge ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
TokForge is proprietary software. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App. The licensing model for TokForge is currently under review and may be updated in the future. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
3. Description of Service
TokForge is a local-first mobile LLM inference platform for iPhone and Android. The App provides:
- On-device AI inference via MNN and llama.cpp/GGUF backends
- Model management, downloading, and benchmarking
- Character card import (Character Card V2 and V3, PNG or JSON)
- Optional remote API integration (user-configured)
- An optional local control API for automation and developer tooling, off by default and protected by an access token
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the models you download and use. Respect model licenses and terms.
- If you enable the Remote API, you are responsible for the endpoint you connect to and any data transmitted.
- The local control API is intended for use on your own device or trusted local network and should not be exposed to public networks.
5. Releases and Beta Programs
TokForge for Android is available as a production release on Google Play. An iPhone and iPad public beta is available through Apple TestFlight, and additional test tracks may be offered from time to time. Participants in any beta program agree to:
- Provide constructive feedback on performance and usability
- Optionally share benchmark results (device + model + performance metrics only)
- Not distribute beta builds to third parties
Beta builds may contain defects, and beta access may be modified or revoked at any time at the developer's discretion.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The developer makes no guarantees regarding inference accuracy, performance, or availability. AI-generated content should not be relied upon for critical decisions.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App.
8. Third-Party Services
TokForge integrates with third-party services: Hugging Face for model downloads, chub.ai for community character browsing, the web search engine you choose when web search is turned on, Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition on Android, and API endpoints you configure. Opt-in leaderboard submissions are sent to the TokForge leaderboard service as described in the Privacy Policy. These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party service behavior.
9. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be noted in release notes.
