Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using TokForge ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
TokForge is proprietary software. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App. The licensing model for TokForge is currently under review and may be updated in the future — any changes will be reflected on this page.
3. Description of Service
TokForge is a local-first mobile LLM inference platform for Android. The App provides:
- On-device AI inference via MNN and llama.cpp/GGUF backends
- Model management, downloading, and benchmarking
- TavernAI V2 character card support
- Optional remote API integration (user-configured)
- A debug-mode HTTP API for developer tooling
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the models you download and use. Respect model licenses and terms.
- If you enable the Remote API, you are responsible for the endpoint you connect to and any data transmitted.
- The debug API is intended for local development only and should not be exposed to public networks.
5. Closed Beta Program
Participation in the TokForge closed beta is by invitation. Beta testers agree to:
- Provide constructive feedback on performance and usability
- Optionally share benchmark results (device + model + performance metrics only)
- Not distribute beta builds to third parties
Beta access may be revoked at any time at the developer's discretion.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The developer makes no guarantees regarding inference accuracy, performance, or availability. AI-generated content should not be relied upon for critical decisions.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App.
8. Third-Party Services
TokForge integrates with third-party services (HuggingFace for model downloads, user-configured API endpoints). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party service behavior.
9. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be noted in release notes.
